Douglas accommodation with an exceptional location

‘5 Strathallan’ luxury self catering holiday apartments are situated on Strathallan Crescent, off King Edward Road, at the north of Douglas promenade, Isle of Man.

A short ride on the historic Horse Tram will take you along the promenade into Douglas town centre, the main shopping and commercial centre of the Isle of Man, which offers exceptional dining, shopping and entertainment. There is a Cinema 500 yards away, Onchan Pleasure Park and boating lake is ten minutes walk and Villa Marina & Gaiety Theatre: The Isle of Man’s Premier Entertainment Complex is approx 1200 yards away. We are fortunate to be most conveniently located for a variety of public transport. We are only a step away from the Manx Electric Railway Depot (Derby Castle MER) and only moments away from the Horse Tram Terminus and bus stops. Buses stop outside direct from the airport. For fans of the famous TT races, we are just a 10 minute walk to Governors Bridge.

Parking

We are located in a quiet area of Douglas and there are normally plenty of parking spaces on the Promenade outside.

Free parking available on the promenade side of the road with no disc required. Parking on opposite side (property side) is limited to 2 hours a parking disc is required which we provide in the apartment.

Directions

Arriving by Sea

For those arriving at the Sea Terminal by Isle of Man Steam Packet ferry or fastcraft the apartments are a 5 minute drive along Douglas promenade by taxi or car or a 20 minute walk.

Alternatively you can catch a bus from the terminal to the bus stop that is only 30 seconds from our door.

Arriving by Air

Ronaldsway Airport in the south of the Island is only 20 minutes drive away from Douglas and well served by taxis and buses.

“All within walking distance”

Being on the promenade you are close to shops and restaurants, bus stops, railways and horse trams are within walking distance. All the railways lead to towns and locations where places to visit are again all within walking distance.

“In a quiet area of Douglas”

Located in a quiet area of Douglas so parking is not too big a problem. The apartments are set back well from the road, so you have no problem with traffic noise or late night disco`s etc

“Handy location”

The location is near two good pubs, a Chinese, an Indian and a kebab house. It`s also handy for the horse trams, electric railway and buses.

Excellent location on the front. Not noisy being at the quieter end of the prom but so handy for everything.

“We loved it so much”

In the summer the horse drawn trams pass by and you can sit in the garden or on the balcony and look out to sea! We loved it so much that we have already booked to stay again in the summer.
